Many Faroese companies participated in the European Seafood Exposition, ESE 2012. The exposition takes places in Brussels each year and is the world's largest seafood exposition.

As a fishing nation, the Faroe Islands attach high importance to participating in this exposition. It provides a great opportunity for the Faroe Islands to promote Faroese seafood and it is a good place for exporters to meet buyers and maintain good relations with clients from all over the world.
 
There are more than 1,600 exhibition stalls at the exposition, with buyers and sellers from 140 countries.
 
At this year's exposition, which took place from 24 to 26 April, seventeen seafood exporters were represented in the Faroese national stall, which was a popular stall at the event.
 
The Prime Minister of the Faroe Islands, Kaj Leo Holm Johannesen, also visited the exposition. The participating Faroese companies were: Atlantic Pelagic, Bakkafrost, Delta Seafood, Fiskamarknaður Føroya, Faroe Origin, Faroe Seafood, Hiddenfjord, JFK, Kósin, Landshandilin, Orka/Nevið, PRG, Rainbow Seafood, Salmon From the Faroe Islands, Tavan, Vaðhorn Seafood and Varðin Pelagic.
